Nettie Boone McMillan, 93, widow of Grady E. McMillan, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Olde Knox Commons, Huntersville, N.C.
Formerly a long-time resident of Greer, SC, Mrs. McMillan was the daughter of the late William L. and Delzie Boone and a member of Victor Baptist Church in Greer.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tom Mitchell, of Davidson, NC; four grandchildren, Tommy Mitchell of Davidson, NC, Jennifer Fite of Huntersville, NC, Brandy Wall of Taylors, SC, and Skip McMillan of Greenville, SC; seven great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McMillan was also preceded in death by a son, Darryl McMillan; sisters, Viola Dye and Martha Byars; and brothers, Vernon Boone, Samuel Boone, Floyd Boone, Lloyd Boone and H.O. Boone.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery.
The family will receive friends at Wood Mortuary Monday, before the service, from 12:30 to 1:30p.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
