William David "Catmeat" Chastain, 66, died August 4, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.

A native of Pickens County, son of the late Robert C. and Elizabeth Gillespie Chastain, he enjoyed an extensive career in sales. In recent decades he had multiple positions in the satellite communication industry.

David was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are a sister, Libby C. Connor of Cayce and a nephew Charles R. Underwood (Briana) of Greer.

David was predeceased by a sister, Kay Underwood.

Funeral Services:

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.

The family wishes to thank the 3rd floor ICU at AnMed Health Center in Anderson, as well as his numerous friends who supported him throughout his illness.
