Sunday's temperature, reaching a high of 95, had people enjoying being outside for many reasons.

Angie Ashmore and Brian Lyne visited Greer City Park to swing in the shade while a breeze and the park's fountains provided a serene environment. "I love to see the revitalization that has taken place in downtown Greer," Ashmore said.

Debbie Reynolds brought her grandchildren to swim in the city park's fountains. "I come here about every week," Reynolds said. "The children like playing in the fountain"

Tim Schaub was visiting Greer to watch Jimmy Williamson play in the BMW Charity Pro-Am golf tournament this weekend. Williamson earned a spot in the field as an associate at BMW. He was paired with Andrew Parr of Reston, Va., Nick Jacobi of Albermarle, N.C., and amateur Barry Allan.

"I rode my bike down from Peoria, Ill., to vist Jimmy. He was my best man in my wedding," Schaub said. Williamson have been friends since their school days in Illinois.

A sign hung outside Williamson's house wishing him good luck in the tournament.
