Brian Timmons gets a special salute from GreerToday.com and HereInGreer for winning a nationwide Fuddruckers contest – Fudd’s Choice.

Timmons, director of catering for Fuddruckers Upstate, submitted a burger to be selected as a new menu item. Timmons submitted his recipe, the sriracha pimento cheese and bacon burger, and was selected as the top winner.

The contest was for all franchisees and owners of Fuddruckers.

“I was humbled to become the winner of this competition,” said Timmons. “Cultivating the Fuddruckers brand is important to me, and it was fun and exciting to bring pimento cheese, a taste of the south, to our nationwide stores. I am proud to be a part of the Fuddruckers family and look forward to seeing my burger in stores across the nation.”

The top three winners were invited to the Fuddruckers Convention in Las Vegas. At the convention, Fuddruckers’ Corporate Chef Dan Phalen made each burger while closely adhering to the recipe, toppings and ingredients submitted by the winners. Convention participants voted for each of the three burgers by placing a poker chip indicating their first, second and third choices.

Timmons’ sriracha pimento cheese and bacon burger came in first place, ahead of the French onion dip with potato chips burger.

“We are thrilled one of our very own won the corporate competition,” said Allen Johnston, Fuddruckers franchise owner in the Upstate. “Brian is dedicated to making the Fuddruckers’ brand the best it can be, and we are lucky to have him as part of our team.”

Timmons’ burger will be on the menu in Fuddruckers stores throughout the summer for a test run. If successful, it could be adopted into the Fuddruckers menu permanently.

Timmons has been with Fuddruckers for 23 years and manages all catering for nine locations and two mobile Fudds trucks across South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Timmons and the Johnstons have been supporters of the greater Greer and Upstate communities, schools and athletic teams.

The Butcher, The Baker Management Company in Duncan own and operate Fuddruckers throughout South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.
