The Greer Inland Port will be closed noon Tuesday until 1 p.m. Wednesday because of predicted severe weather.
An advisory by the SCPA on Monday evening reported all facilities would be closed Today. Michael Hoffman, Terminal Manager for the Greer Inland Port, said it will be business as usual Tuesday.
The greater Greer forecast for Tuesday is mostly cloudy and much colder with afternoon snow of varying intensity, accumulating an inch or two.
The Charleston area is forecast for much colder weather with a wintry mix Tuesday morning through the afternoon. Cold with snow and sleet with ice accumulations may cause power outages Tuesday night.
Charleston is scheduled to re-open at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The port authority reported the closure is subject to change as conditions warrant.
