Spartanburg Methodist College will host its annual Miss SMC Pageant on Saturday, Feb. 9. Miss SMC 2010 and former Miss Spartanburg Teen, Jerica Lemon will host the pageant.
The winner of the pageant will compete in the Miss South Carolina pageant in July. Miss SMC 2012, Nacolle Williamson, will crown the new winner.
“We are excited to be a part of the Miss South Carolina and Miss America Scholarship organizations and support the four points of the crown: service, scholarship, success, and style,” said Kim Day Caton, SMC Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development.
The Miss Greer High School pageant will celebrate 15 years of pageantry on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 with the crowning of a new Miss Greer High School.
This year’s theme is “Block Party” and will feature all of its past titleholders along with the 16 young ladies vying for this year’s title.
Three beauty queens were crowned Miss Teen for their respective pageants at the J. Harley Bonds Career Center on Jan. 19.
They will compete in the Miss South Carolina Teen contest in the summer.
The Miss Spartanburg Methodist College Pageant is scheduled Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at Gibbs Auditorium on the Wofford College Campus.
It’s the second year of the pageant that is affiliated with the Miss South Carolina organization. The winner will advance to the Miss South Carolina pageant this summer.

Miss South Carolina, Ali Rogers of Laurens, came as close as you can get to winning the Miss America title by being named first runner-up Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Rogers, who was reported to be a favorite in the competition, won the first round in the Lifestyle and Fitness category Wednesday after modeling a white swimsuit.
The Miss Greer High School pageant is Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday Feb. 9 with 16 candidates competing in the Greer High auditorium. "Block Party" is this year's theme and all the previous titleholders have been invited to the pageant.
The cost is $7 each night and tickets are sold at the door.
