Tyler's frenetic 23 days comes to halt with Chick-fil-A reopening

Jody Levin visited Chick-fil-A on Wade Hampton Blvd. on its re-opening Monday after undergoing a complete renovation in June. Levin's grandchildren, Cyrus Jones and Donovan Estenfeld, appeared to reap the rewards of this trip.
 

Bill Tyler has had such a furious 23 days he said he doesn’t know how tired he is.

“Right now it’s just so exciting, the adrenaline has kicked in,” Tyler said.

'Sarge' named mascot for annual Freedom Blast

The mascot for the City of Greer Freedom Blast on Saturday, June 28 is the bald eagle.

“Sarge” has won the popular vote as the bald eagle mascot at the City of Greer’s Freedom Blast. The mascot is among several additions to the only Independence Day celebration in the Upstate on Saturday, June 28.

The event is 6-10:15 p.m. The Zack Brown Tribute Band 20 Ride is the headline entertainment. Greer Idol and Idol Teen will hold its first elimination round.

Eat the most Chick-fil-A nuggets, sandwiches or down the most milkshakes in a designated amount of time and you get a chance to deliver the first blow in tearing down Bill Tyler’s store.

Chick-fil-A at 1379 West Wade Hampton Blvd., is closing June 6 and is scheduled to reopen June 30.
