I love following Jonathan Weaver's Weigh Loss Journey on FB, the minister from the Chesnee area who has lost 226 pounds. His coach is a friend of mine, and we, as coaches, are so proud of his attitude and determination. His goal is to lose 300 pounds in two years.
Dr. Erin J. Dickert has joined Upstate Maternal Fetal Medicine and the Bon Secours Medical Group (BSMG).
Dickert received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and her Masters of Public Health from the University of South Carolina. Her specialty is obstetrics and gynecology and she is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Anselmo Nuñez is the new Chief Executive Officer, at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System (Bon Secours Medical Group). He will begin his duties Feb. 24.

Village Hospital will open a new catheterization lab in Greer on Monday. While procedures offered at the lab will initially be limited to diagnostic procedures, additional services will be added as the program grows.
“Before this cath lab opened, there was no other such facility in Greer, which meant patients would have to travel to either Spartanburg or Greenville for this type of service,” Anthony (Tony) Kouskolekas, President of Village Hospital, said. “This latest expansion of our services is further proof of our commitment to the Greer community that expert medical care need not be a long drive away to another city. It’s right in our own backyard at Village Hospital.”
Cheryl Childers wanted to share the innocence of her childhood as a reminder of what life was like at Christmas in her hometown of Newtown, Conn. She drew a design of simplicity and purity through a child’s eyes looking out a window at a new layer of snow that blanketed her world.
The design was chosen as the Festival of Trees wine label.
Special meals are being offered for Wellness Wednesday at the Allspice Café at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System.
The menu, begun in October, continues with health conscious meals leading into Thanksgiving, which is a huge eating holiday for Americans. The cost is $5.99 including a 20-ounce bottled water. The public is welcome.
