Greer’s football season ended when the Daniel Lions beat the Yellow Jackets, 41-10, in the third round of the state AAA football playoffs Friday at Dooley Field.

Greer's Kylie Sandusky finished her junior tennis season at the South Carolina State High School Tennis Singles Tournament winning two and losing two matches.
Sandusky defeated Savannah Wilhelm of Hartsville in the first round but lost to No. 1 seed Rachel McNeely of West Oak in the second round. That relegated Sandusky to the consolation round. She beat Amy Lance of Lexington but her season ended in the next match when Annika Wagner from Chapman won the tiebreaker 8-7.
Greer eliminated Westwood, 45-42, in the second round of the AAA football playoffs. The Yellow Jackets play No. 1 and undefeated Daniel next Friday at Dooley Field at 7:30 p.m.

Sophomore kicker Nick Roberson kicked a 37-yard field goal with 2.7 seconds remaining in the game to give Greer a thrilling 45-42 victory in a second round Class AAA playoff game over Westwood Friday at Dooley Field.
“I don’t see this team every giving up,” Greer Head Coach Will Young said on the Yellow Jackets Sports Network. “They know next week will be tougher. They know where they are and what they’ve got to do.”

Greer plays upstart Westwood in the second round of the state playoffs Friday night at Dooley Field. Game time is 7:30.
The Yellow Jackets squeaked by Emerald, 34-30, last week and Westwood easily handled Woodruff, 38-10. It was Westwood’s first playoff win in its two-year existence. Greer hasn’t advanced to the third round of the playoffs since 2006, Head Coach Will Young’s second year as head coach.
Kylie Sandusky is the lone Greer tennis player named to the Region II, Class AAA team. It's the fifth straight year Sandusky has been on the all-Region team – 3 years on Region III and the last two on Region II.
Sandusky played No. 1 singles and doubles all year for Greer. The Yellow Jackets earned a berth in the state finals where they lost to Daniel in the first round.
