Greer High School's Eden's Coffee and Confections, a virtual enterprise firm, won first place in business brochure, second in booth design and third in business flyer at the Midwest Regional Trade Show and Competition in Tennessee.
Adam Massey teachers the program and his teams are perennial winners in virtual enterprise competitions state, national and international. Eden's represented South Carolina at the competition.
Greer's Kylie Sandusky split her matches in the North-South Tennis Classic Saturday at the Greenville Kroc Center.
The South beat the North, 5-4.
Fresh off a national TV appearance on "Dancing with the Stars," Greer native Noah Guthrie announced on his Facebook page that he will join the cast of Fox TV's "Glee" for its final season.
Guthrie, a 2012 Greer High School graduate who initially gained national attention for an acoustic cover of the song "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO that went viral on YouTube, is taking time off from a busy tour schedule to join the cast of "Glee." He posted the following on his official Facebook page:

Steve Satterfield, a three-sport star from the class of 1956, was inducted into the Greer High School Athletic Ring of Honor at halftime last week of the Greer-Clinton playoff game at Dooley Field.
Satterfield played quarterback in football, second base in baseball and point guard in basketball. The 1955 football team finished 12-1 and the 1955-56 basketball team won the state championship.
A North Carolina woman was sentenced to serve more than a decade in prison Monday after she admitted to driving under the influence of prescription medication when she caused a fatal, wrong-way, head-on crash on Business I-85.
Lisa C. Fall, 42, of Rutherfordton, pleaded guilty to felony driving under the influence with death and felony driving under the influence with great bodily injury for the June 14, 2014 wreck that claimed the life of a Greer High School student, Allen Peter Turlak, 17.

Visiting Clinton hardly looked like a 2-8 team Friday night as the Class 3A playoffs began at Greer's Dooley Field.
But the Red Devils strangely resembled the hard-nosed, run-first opponent Greer has come to know -- if not love -- over their long histories.
The Yellow Jackets had to turn away a pair of fourth quarter drives for a 17-13 victory over Clinton in the opening round of the state playoffs.
Chris Tapp outbid Judy Tipton for an autographed Greer High School football helmet in the most intense bidding of the night at Big Thursday’s live auction.
Tapp and his wife, Sandra, bid $430 for the helmet and an accompanying jersey No. 52. It was third highest bid for an item.

The Yellow Jackets capped their first undefeated season since their 1994 state championship run with a dominating 51-0 win over rival Blue Ridge Friday night at Dooley Field.
