Greer High School football players were honored Monday night at its annual football banquet.
Head Coach Will Young and his staff honored the seniors who compiled a 40-9 overall record with four consecutive region championships. They beat rival Blue Ridge in three of four meetings.

On Saturday, January 17, 2015 I was honored to be crowned Miss Greater Greer 2015! I am beyond excited to represent my hometown, Greer, in the 2015 Miss South Carolina Pageant this summer in Columbia in June. I want to bring that Miss South Carolina home to Greer. As I begin this journey I will need the support of this wonderful community that has always been my home!

Two Miss candidates are high school seniors and the other 2 are college students. Madison Bates (Greer High School), Greer Seay (Spring Valley High School), Maya Lynch (Greenville Technical College) and Anna Brown (Clemson University) will compete to be in the Miss SC pageant.

The Greer football team walked the roads picking up trash, dead animals, food and unmentionables Friday. Students have Friday and Monday off from school.
