The annual Riverside Middle School Dodgeball Tournament will be held in the school’s gymnasium Nov. 12 and 13 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The cost for teams of five is $25.

Riverside completed a third Region II-4A without a conference victory with a 27-7 loss tonight at Wade Hampton.
Riverside Middle School students have qualified for the Duke Talent Identification Program. 153 students will be invited to take the SAT or ACT and receive a program guide and newsletter from Duke University. Students who score at the highest level on these tests will be recognized at the state and national level according to their earned score.
Riverside Middle also had many students who just missed qualifying for the program. To qualify, students had to score 95 percent on one or more of a certain group of subtests.
BLUE RIDGE (9-0, 6-0) at GREER (7-2, 5-1)
Greer and Blue Ridge are swapping football opponents this week in Week 9 of the high school season. While both teams have one more day to be focused on other teams, they will still be listening for Friday's scores for another measuring stick.
Greer beat Pickens (42-20) which is Blue Ridge's opponent Friday and Southside fell to the Tigers (31-0) last week.

Mauldin scored a 35-6 homecoming victory over Riverside tonight in a Region II-4A contest.
With the win, the Mavericks even their record to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in region play. Riverside falls to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the region.

For the first time, Riverside Middle School is participating in Project Unify.
Jordan Finley, physical education teacher, announced that the school has been awarded a $1,000 grant to support this endeavor. The goal of Project Unify is to "change perspectives, improve attitudes, enhance relationships, and boost acceptance among all students through the creation of school-based projects and sports opportunities for Special Olympic athletes and student volunteers."
Top-ranked Byrnes cruised to a 64-0 homecoming victory over Riverside tonight.
The Rebels, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A and No. 4 nationally in USA Today's Super 25 poll, improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in Region II-4A with their annual grudge match with Gaffney awaiting next week in Gaffney.
