Drug take back day is scheduled Oct. 22, CPW and Greer police partnering on initiative
Greer Commission of Public Works and the Greer Police Department will host a drug take back day on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

“The Greer Police Department has done this effort for many years, but the first time partnering with CPW,” GPD Sgt. Chad Richardson said. “We think this is the perfect partnership because we do not want prescription drugs in the wrong hands and (CPW) does not want pills being flushed down the drain.”

Citizens are asked to prevent pill abuse and theft by getting rid of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring the medicine – pills or patches – to CPW at 301 McCall Street.

Richardson, Community Outreach Officer, said no questions will be asked. Do not bring liquids, needles or sharp objects Richardson advised.
