This is the soup kitchen’s biggest fundraiser of the year, accounting for about 50 percent of its annual budget, and comes at its most important time. It is the 8th year of the one-mile walk. The agency is a non-profit.
Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, back-to-back, take a heavy toll on cupboards and supplies. The ministry routinely averages serving 140 meals a day and routinely is in need food donations.
T-shirts and hot dog plates will be available for donations.
