The Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce has announced “GPS: Goals, Plans & Strategies” as its program of work and its executive board members for 2016.

Loaded firearm found in GSP passenger's carry-on

A loaded .380 caliber handgun was discovered in a passenger’s carry-on bag Thursday evening at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
 

The Transportation Security Administration discovered a loaded firearm at a Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) checkpoint Thursday.

At approximately 6 p.m. Thursday evening, a loaded .380 caliber handgun was discovered in a passenger’s carry-on bag.

Football playoff traffic to impact GSP

GSP Airport in Greer will see an increase of traffic with football fans traveling to Phoenix for Monday's National Championship football game.
 

Greer will see added travelers coming through its highways this weekend, Saturday through Tuesday, as football fans will be making their way to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.

Clemson University’s football team travels to Phoenix to play Alabama on Monday for the national championship. Clemson’s players, coaches and staff charter flights from GSP.
