Put a 'Spring In Your Step' Saturday at City Park

The City of Greer, SSI (Sports, Spine and Industrial physical therapy) and the Greenville Track Club is sponsoring "Spring in Your Step" Health and Fitness Fair at Greer City Park Saturday (April 9).

Free activities include prizes, a kid's area, refreshments, and information on how your family can live a safe and healthy lifestyle. Topics presented include bicycle safety, nutrition, exercise, and cancer prevention among others.

Village Hospital Health Fair offers screenings Thursday
APR 5, 2011

The Village Hospital Health Fair is Thursday (April 7) from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Medical Office Building.

Multiple screenings will be offered including blood pressure, balance and grip strength, mammograms (insurance will be filed), head and neck cancer screenings, diabetes risk assessments, body fat percentage, body composition and health information among others. Call 864-849-9399 to make an appointment for a mammogram.

Heart Walk in Greer was a big success
APR 5, 2011

More than 2,500 walkers participated in the Upstate Heart Walk that began at Greer City Park last Saturday.

Joy Jones, regional office director at the Pelham Road location, said the turnout was more than expected. The heart walk benefits the American Heart Association.
