Communication gaps between deaf patients, healthcare providers featured at USC Upstate workshop

A collaboration that could help reduce communication gaps for deaf patients and their healthcare providers is scheduled at USC Upstate.

Students from USC Upstate’s health communications classes and the Mary Black School of Nursing will host a role reversal workshop with members of the deaf community from 12 – 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 in the Mary Black School of Nursing, room 2039 in the Health Education Complex.

North Greenville University celebrates new college campus in Greer

Greer is now home to a college campus.

North Greenville University officials celebrated the opening of its Greer campus on Thursday that houses the school’s graduate school, College of Adult Professional Studies, and its faculty, staff, and admissions counselors. It is also home to the new Graduate School of Health Science, which began offering a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Medicine in January.

In keeping with our constitutional responsibilities, my colleagues and I elected Judge George C. "Buck" James by acclamation to a term on the Supreme Court.
