“Today’s announcement by Dollar Tree is a testament to the logistics advantages and pro-business reputation the Palmetto State has earned. We’re excited to have such a successful, nationally-recognized company select the South Carolina for a major distribution operation, and I look forward to supporting their future growth and success in our state," Bobby Hitt, Secretary of Commerce, said.

“Cherokee County looks forward to Dollar Tree becoming an integral part of the business community that currently thrives throughout our community.  We are proud of the relationship that we have with Spartanburg County and feel that this project demonstrates the strength of partnerships for our region.  It is our hope that this investment will demonstrate Cherokee County’s ability and continued desire to make Cherokee County a better place to live, work, and invest," said Cherokee County Council Chairman Tim Spencer.

“Spartanburg County prides itself on the long-term partnerships we create with the companies locating and expanding here, and we look forward to this same partnership with Dollar Tree. The 15 years of teamwork, planning, investment, and vision exhibited by Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties in the creation of the Upstate Corporate Park is a testament to the whole being greater than the parts. The manner in which the Cherokee County Development Board and the Spartanburg Economic Futures Group work is to be commended," said David Britt, chairman of the Economic Recruitment and Development Committee.
