Greer High School grads from every generation will be holding their annual reunion on Saturday, May 16 at Greer City Hall. The event is free.
The Price family, owners of Smith & James, Chelsea’s and Trims on Trade, are the presenting sponsors. Smith & James is celebrating its 99th year in business in downtown Greer.
More than the 600 grads who attended the 2014 Greer High Alumni Reunion are expected this year and there will be more restaurant seating availability – inside and out – with the new Wild Ace Pizza and Pub on Depot Street scheduled to open later this month.
A reunion, with all classes expected to be represented, will be held at City Hall, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. “Honey and the Hot Rods” return to provide entertainment.
Adding excitement to this year’s reunion will be a giveaway for a beach house for a one-week stay.
The Soup Kitchen will be the beneficiary with food donations asked of the grads to contribute back to the community. Martha Littlefield, from the Soup Kitchen, will be accepting cash and food donations at City Hall the night of the event.
The Greer High Alumni Reunion organizing committee is advising dinner reservations to be made as soon as possible. Restaurants, addresses, phone numbers and websites are provided below. Other restaurants are invited to send GreerToday.com its information to be included in the list.
Cash donations of any size would be appreciated as we want to always keep this a free event....and be able to give back to the Community! Businesses, according to the committee, are reminded to display flyers in their windows.
