Owens makes debut as chamber head at First Friday luncheon

Mark Owens will make his debut today as President/CEO of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce at the monthly’s First Friday luncheon at City Hall.

Owens, formerly vice president at the chamber, was selected after a nationwide search. Today’s luncheon will be the first time Owens will address the group as its new leader.

Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. – noon and the program begins at noon. The featured program is “State of Higher Education and our Workforce”.

GreerToday.com will make its first public presentation since its successful three-year rise to become Greer’s only daily news product on-line and free. The South Carolina Press Association awarded GreerToday.com its 2012 award for best news site in its division.

Greer Memorial Hospital is the presenting sponsor and annual sponsor is Greer State Bank.
