Greer High School Principal Justin Ludley, his wife Barrett, and their oldest child James, 3, will lead the Christmas Parade through Greer on Sunday Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m. Justin and Barrett’s 6-month old triplets (Tess, Anna, and Will) will be at home.

South Pointe scored more points than any team against Greer in the Yellow Jackets’ long storied history Friday night at Dooley Field.
The Stallions were off and running and didn’t stop until South Pointe won its 25th straight victory and beat the Greer Yellow Jackets, 67-21, for the Upstate Class 4A Championship. Greer (12-2) saw its winning streak end at 11 games.

Trey Houston, with five scoring strikes, broke a single season touchdown pass reception record, Dre Williams galloped to a 99-yard touchdown and the Greer defense took no prisoners as the Yellow Jackets pounded Greenville, 47-15.

Greer marched into the third round of the Class AAAA football playoffs Friday night by knocking off South Aiken, 42-21, at Dooley Field.
Greer will play Greenville, a 42-27 winner over York, next Friday in the semifinal game of the Upper State bracket. The game will be played at Dooley Field and a packed stadium is all but guaranteed when the two rivals play. Greer beat Greenville, 27-19, in the regular season. Greer has a 10-game winning streak and is 11-1 overall.
Greer and Eastside hosts second round state football playoff games Friday night at 7:30.
South Aiken comes to Greer to play the Yellow Jackets at Dooley Field. Greer is 10-1 and beat Daniel 42-7 last week. South Aiken, 9-2, defeated Ridge View 47-28.
The All-Region II-AAAA football team was announced Monday with Eastside and Greer dominating the 44-player team.
Jordan Morgan, quarterback for Eastside High School, is the Player of the Year and Will Young of Greer is the Coach of the Year.
Former Greer High School standout Troy Pride Jr. is featured this week in a profile on Irish Sports Daily.
Pride is a sophomore cornerback who broke into the starting rotation two weeks ago in a 49-14 win over Southern California two weeks ago.
Arthur Craig, Greer High School class of 1964, was inducted into the Ring of Honor at halftime of the Greer-Daniel playoff football game Friday night.
Craig is the fifth member of the class of 1964 joining Clay Bradburn, Robert Lynn, Bobby Harley and Don Brown. Craig was presented the honor by Brown.
