Noah Guthrie will appear on “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) at 8 p.m. (NBC) Tuesday.
It will be Guthrie’s second appearance on the show. Guthrie, 24, appeared June 12 performing his rendition of Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain” during his audition.
The community is invited to attend a meeting hosted by the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District’s master plan findings on Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Conference Center, inside of the GSP terminal.

Fishing, kayaking, canoeing and sail boating on Lake Cunningham and Lake Robinson had gradually been approved through the years. The new addition comes after a community member approached commissioners at the June meeting asking for the change.
Graduates from the University of South Carolina Upstate’s Mary Black School of Nursing have a year-to-date 92.27 percent first-time pass rate on the NCLEX, the national professional licensure exam for nurses. The national pass rate for the exam is 89.54 percent.
Of the 181 USC Upstate nursing students who have taken the NCLEX since January, 167 students passed the exam. The test measures if a nursing graduate is capable of performing duties required of an entry-level nurse.

Ownership of the former Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital and Roger Huntington Nursing center complex reached its apparent conclusion Tuesday night, nearly eight years after the Greenville Hospital System gifted the property to the city in September 2010. Jim Benson of 313 Memorial Drive LLC agreed to purchase the property for $3.01 million in December 2016.
North Greenville University held a ceremonial unveiling of the new street name leading from Poinsett Street to the school’s Tim Brashier Campus at Greer on Friday. The street, formerly Ryans Corp Drive, is now named Walter Brashier Drive in honor of Dr. T. Walter Brashier, the graduate school’s namesake.
Brashier and his wife, Christine, have been two of the most generous and faithful supporters of NGU. Their generosity to the university has spanned over four decades. Their first commitment was a downtown Greenville office building in the 1970s. Since that time, they have started an undergraduate scholarship fund, supported several capital projects, given the lead gift to launch the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School in 2005, and served on several university committees, boards, and councils.
A company is investing more than $1 million in a 2,500-square-foot Escape Lounge at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
MAG USA, a Chicago-headquartered company, is developing the lounge.
Fred Crawford is the new Principal/Executive Director at Greer Middle College Charter High School for the 2018-2019 school year.
Crawford served as Principal/CEO at Greenville Technical Charter High School (GTCHS) for 10 years until August 2012 when joining Legacy Early College as the Executive Director. The graduation rate in the West Greenville community improved to 93 percent compared to 54 percent before Legacy opening.
Mayor Rick Danner celebrated more than the birth of our country during the 21st annual July 4th parade. Danner and his wife, Rita, introduced their first grandchild, Ruby.

Greer-based CBL State Savings Bank will locate a loan office in Landrum to be opened on Oct. 1.
The office will be located at 920 East Rutherford Street. Initially, only the bank’s loan products, including first and second residential mortgages, equity lines of credit, land loans, construction/permanent loans, commercial real estate loans and more, will be available. Four generations of leadership

It was a perfect morning for the annual Arlington-Davenport July 4th Parade.
Mayor Rick Danner, a parade organizer, introduced his first grandchild, Ruby. Police Chief Matt Hamby led the parade in a Greer Police Department vehicle blaring patriotic music along the one-mile scenic route and scores of children wore red, white and blue fashion while some showed off their wheels. Dogs walked patiently with their best friend and some were carried. There was barking, but none got entangled.
The Foothills Philharmonic, conducted by Kory Vrieze has set its 2018-2019 season schedule.

Davia Bunch of Spartanburg was crowned Miss South Carolina on Saturday at Township Auditorium in Columbia.
The 21-year-old from Spartanburg is a student at the University of South Carolina. First runner-up Sydney Ford of Gaffney, competed as Miss Greater Greer.
Sydney Sill, from Duncan, was second runnerup. She competed as Miss Clemson.
