April 25, 2013 - Roy James Clayton, Sr., 69, of Inman, went home to his heavenly father at his home Thursday, April 25th, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Claude Lanford and Geneva Burnett Clayton, a graduate of Chapman High School, North Greenville Jr. College and Carson-Newman College, and a retired auditor with the SC Tax Commission.

Roy was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church for sixty years where he served as a deacon, usher, teller and on many other committees.

He was most proud of his missions work which included Men on Missions, who made annual trips to help others, and foreign mission trips to Romania and Brazil.
