March 31, 2018 - Maj. Charles Oliver Robinson, 83, formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died March 31, 2018 at Thrive at Greer, SC.

A native of Duncan, SC, he was the son of the late Vinson and Launa Robinson.

He served 24 years in the US Army, including two tours in Vietnam, retiring as a Major.

A native of Cullowhee, NC, daughter of the late Dan Franklin and Rita Jane Hoxit Coggins, she was a retired employee of T & S Brass and Bronze Works and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Lollis loved spending time outdoors tending to her flowers in her garden and feeding her birds.

Ralph Ransom Burnell

March 26, 2018 - Ralph Ransom Burnell, 94, passed away on March 26, 2018.
A native of Clinton, Iowa, son of the late Oriel Lynsfield and Beulah Ransom Burnell, he was a retired 30 year Navy Veteran where he served during WWII, Korean and the Vietnam Wars. Ralph enlisted at age 17 in August 1941 and served aboard CVL27-Langley for 28 months. He was assigned to a Fleet-work study group to write a maintenance manual for every plane in service at that time. His next tour was on The Aircraft Carrier Enterprise. Additionally, he was a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tabatha Gail Barnett Gosnell of Duncan; one brother, Bill Leister of Greenwood; a sister, Rita Pittman of Greer; and two grandchildren, Mychael Carpenter and Courtland Byrd, Jr.

She was predeceased by one brother, Gene Leister.

Never one to sit still, he worked part time at FENCE during retirement.
