Tribe513 is expanding its faith-based healthcare business and relocating its corporate headquarters to downtown Greer. The business will be at 139 E Poinsett St., at a portion of the former Mutual Home Store.
The site will become home to 70-80 existing team members with additional growth planned over the next five years, according to the Greer Development Corporation (GDC) announcement. Tribe513 announced that it plans to open a Parkside Pediatrics location on the site later this fall, according to the GDC.

James Hylton, 83, who raced for more than half a century at NASCAR’s Cup level, died Saturday in a traffic accident after leaving Talladega Superspeedway. Hylton’s son, James “Tweety” Hylton Jr., 61, also died in the wreck, according to official reports.
Both Hyltons lived in Inman.
A Gaffney man received a 15-year prison sentence Thursday after he admitted to escaping from prison and carjacking a woman in front of the Spartanburg County Courthouse.
Blake Rochester, 26, pleaded guilty to common-law robbery, third-degree assault and battery and escape before Circuit Judge Derham Cole. The new prison sentence is consecutive to the 5-year breaking into a motor vehicle prison sentence he was serving at the time of the escape.

Clemson and Pittsburgh Steelers great Bennie Cunningham, 63, passed away Monday morning at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio where he had been fighting cancer.
A Seneca native, Cunningham played at Clemson from 1972-75 and was a two-time, first-team All-American. He was the first African-American football player to make an All-America team in school history. He was also the first African-American to win the Frank Howard Award, a Clemson athletic department honor presented to an athlete each year for “bringing honor to Clemson.”

Mark Bishop (Greer) and Andy McIntosh (Lyman) won the inaugural Greer Centennial Lions Club bass fishing tournament on Lake Robinson Saturday. Bishop and McIntosh totaled a catch of 19.34 pounds.

The legacy of legendary Gaffney High School coach and educator Robert E. “Bob” Prevatte will have a permanent home at Limestone College, thanks to a record-breaking $4.1 million gift from the Richardson Foundation.

Postal Service worker Tony T. Maclin, 44, of Greer has been indicted on seven counts of mail theft by an officer or employee.
The indictment does not name the post office where Maclin worked.
