A Greer man has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison for shooting a woman.
Derrick Lorenzo Casey, 39, received a 235-month prison sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Bruce Hendricks.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest of a person impersonating a law enforcement officer.
Thomason Michael Barrett Hand, 17, from Travelers Rest has been arrested with four counts of impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer. The incidents occurred on Oct. 27, according to the report.

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport’s (GSP) first-class offerings have expanded with the opening of its new MAG USA Escape Lounge.

Dr. Scott Turner will retire as Superintendent of The Spartanburg District Five Schools at the end of the 2018-19 school year. His retirement will come at the end of Turner’s 15th year as superintendent of District Five Schools.
