Harris served the city of Spartanburg for 12 years. He died following an on-duty motorcycle crash on April 13. He is survived by a wife and three children.

Chase Bryant is the headline performer for the 33rd Annual Pelham Medical Center Greer Family Festival Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, throughout downtown Greer and City Park.

Bryant, 24, will perform a concert on May 6 at 7:30 p.m. He is the youngest entertainer to headline the festival.

However, a national survey revealed that parents don't fully realize the power they have when it comes to developing good character in their children. The online survey, commissioned by national high-quality preschool provider Primrose Schools, profiled hundreds of U.S. parents whose children attend, will attend or have previously attended an early education program between the ages of 3-5.
