No paddle boards added to Lake Robinson, Cunningham rules

Paddle boards are now prohibited on the lakes, joining rafts, hydroplanes, houseboats, jet skis, wave runners, tire tubes or windsurfing craft.
 

Thanks to social media Greer CPW amended one rules and regulations and added another for Lake Robinson and Lake Cunningham.

Paddle boards are now prohibited on the lakes, joining rafts, hydroplanes, houseboats, jet skis, wave runners, tire tubes or windsurfing craft. Any inflatable craft must be approved by the lake warden.

Matt Davidson sent an email asking about updates on Allegiant Air routes from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. A story posted here suggested Allegiant was showing interest in expanding its market at GSP.

GSP President/CEO Dave Edwards, in a May meeting with the Board of Commissioners, stated he attended the annual Allegiant conference in Las Vegas. Edwards told commissioners the meeting was positive. GSP is the fifth lowest cost airport in the Allegiant system even with the increase based on the new rate structure. With regards to GSP, Allegiant remains focused on four cities in Florida with no particular growth plans at this time.

Dr. H. Paul Thompson Jr., dean of College of Humanities and professor and chair of the Department of History at North Greenville University, is one of 57 participants selected for the 44th class of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Greenville (LG) program. 

“I am continuously seeking ways to refine my leadership skills. I know several (Leadership Greenville) graduates who speak very highly of the program,” Thompson said.

Rudolph Logistics investing $18 million, 150 jobs at Business Park

Rudolph Logistics Group  is projected to bring $18 million of capital investment and create 150 jobs at a new warehousing operation at Greer’s Caliber North Business Park.
 

Rudolph Logistics Group, an international logistics service provider, is projected to bring $18 million of capital investment and create 150 jobs at a new warehousing operation at Greer’s Caliber North Business Park. 

The 171,000 square-foot building is LEED certified and became online in April. The industrial park is now fully leased.

Bruce Stanski has been appointed as Fluor’s chief financial officer (CFO) effective Aug. 4, replacing Biggs Porter, whose retirement was announced in March. Porter will continue to support Fluor as an advisor on NuScale Power as well as in other capacities.

Stanski has served as the president of Fluor’s Government Group since March 2009, and under his leadership, has substantially grown Fluor’s business in the sale and delivery of value-added services to government agencies including the United States Departments of Defense, Energy, State and Homeland Security, as well as the United Kingdom's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

BMW sales of its X models produced in Greer showed an increase of 4.9 percent in June and an overall year-to-date total of 11.9 percent compared to the same month in 2016.

The highest sales were the X5 model at 4,589 units compared to the same month last year of 4,018 vehicles.
