October 24, 2015 - Elizabeth ("Libby") Barnett Runyan, widow of Dr. Farrell E. Runyan, passed away on October 24, 2015 at Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson, SC. She was 94.

Libby was the daughter of Samuel Seba Barnett and Grace Gibson Barnett.

Libby was a graduate of North Greenville Junior College and Carson-Newman College.

She also attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Libby and Farrell were Southern Baptist missionaries to Africa from 1946 to 1986 serving in Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Swaziland.

After they retired, Farrell and Libby lived on Highway 11, in northern Greenville County.

Francis Doyle Wilson

A native of Greer, son of the late William Zadok and Belle Pittman Wilson, he was a Class of 1945 graduate of Greer High School, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Doyle started in textiles at 16 years old and had advanced to Director of Domestic Services at Springs Industries by his retirement. He was a giving, loving gentleman.

His greatest joy was leading his family members to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

He was a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge, served in the U.S. National Guard, and was of the Baptist Faith.
