Greer Police Chief Dan Reynolds is putting drunk drivers on notice.
“Drinking and driving. Absolutely not. Don’t do it,” Reynolds told GreerToday.com in his annual warning to revelers on New Year’s Eve who drink and drive.

Arby’s company restaurants will close at 6 pm Christmas Eve and are closed on Christmas Day. Franchise locations may vary.
The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is tentatively scheduled to open its Greer store in mid-March at Suber Commons at the corner of Wade Hampton Blvd. and Suber Road.

Allen Johnston, Co-owner and Operator of Chix and Bix, LLC, told GreerToday.com the restaurants would be the newest prototypes, similar to one opened at Cherrydale. They will be 3,608-square feet and seat about 80 guests.
Wild Ace Pizza and Pub is pursuing a move from its Trade Street location to Depot Street as a result of a downtown business owner constructing fencing at two locations that has eliminated over 60 parking spaces.
It appears to be the second business owned by Chris and Denise VandenBerghe to leave Trade Street within the past eight months. Acme General Store abruptly closed on March 20.
