Locally owned Subway restaurants are thanking Habitat volunteers at work sites across the Carolinas with a free catered lunch during National Volunteer Week, April 6-12.
“We recognize that volunteers are the heart and backbone of Habitat,” said Greg Thomas, executive director for the South Carolina Association of Habitat for Humanity affiliates. “We appreciate Subway joining us to show our neighbors and community members we value what they do to make our state better.”
Dunkin’ Donuts is offering a free 16-ounce freshly-brewed iced coffee all day Monday in celebration of warmer weather for participating restaurants in the Carolinas, Tennessee and southern Virginia.
Guests can customize their beverage with one of eight different flavors, including French Vanilla, Hazelnut, Toasted Almond, Blueberry, Coconut, Cinnamon, Caramel and Raspberry.
Two upstate microbreweries, Thomas Creek and RJ Rockers, which have licensing agreements with MSE Branded Foods of Gainesville, Ga., are tentatively scheduled to have restaurant namesakes open May 10 at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
Hudson News is also expanding its retail outlet and enhancing its inventory with products from the upstate. Flatwood Grill, named for the area of land BMW Manufacturing purchased for its only North American plant, will offer a menu of breakfast and traditional American fare.
