Pete Pascuzzi, Divisional Chief for Ryan’s, of Ovation Brands, responded to Kim Wooten’s questions by email. The interview follows.
Kim: What is Ryan’s philosophy towards customers with disabilities?
The Wild Ace Pizza and Pub groundbreaking Thursday morning represents the first new construction in downtown since the City Hall and Municipal complex opened in 2008.
“This is significant expansion of our downtown footprint,” said City Administrator Ed Driggers, among the dignitaries at the ceremony. “It’s exactly what we envisioned and it will provide greater opportunity for revitalization of this triangle.”
RJ Rockers and Thomas Creek Brewery owners are seeing residual benefits from their brand launched restaurants on the concourse at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in Greer.

Patrick Benson has been promoted to Chief Information Officer at Ovation Brands. He has led initiatives for the company – Ryan's, HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet, Country Buffet and Fire Mountain as part of its reinvention. Benson was former senior vice president of Information Technology.
Duncan town council tabled a proposed smoking ban Tuesday and said it plans to consult with other area cities and towns with smoking ordinances to observe how their respective bans are working.
Council members said the proposal will be explored in a yet to be named workshop with input from citizens.
Wendy Mitchell has a message for all the loyal customers that supported her as former owner of Southern Thymes Café at 219 Trade Street.
“I’m reopening Southern Thymes and will have the same menu we cooked for years, meat-and-three and we will serve breakfast and lunch,” Mitchell told GreerToday.com. “It might take me a little while to get back.”
